Tontine Fibres bulk polyester fibres is the safest fibres product on the market.

Tontine Fibres uses no hazardous chemicals, adhesives or solvents in the manufacturing process so the products are completely safe and emit no harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) or toxins.

Tontine Fibres products contain no formaldehyde or other organic chemicals and no Ozone Depleting Products (ODPs) are used in their manufacture.

Tontine Fibres bonded products have been independently tested and are certified to Oeko-Tex 100, the global standard for safety in textiles, to Class I (safe for use by babies).

All Tontine Fibres products can be used without the need for special protective gear. Tontine Fibres products do not contain binders that may deteriorate over time, or use short or brittle fibres that are prone to breakage and are easily respirable. Polyester is the only fibrous insulation approved by Asthma Foundations Australia for unrestricted use in low allergen or asthma friendly buildings.

Tontine Fibres products offer excellent fire properties as tested in accordance with AS/NZ 1530.3

Accidental or incorrect installation of Tontine Polyester Fibres that is too close or partly covering halogen down lights will not cause the batts to ignite and contribute to a house fire. The most likely scenario given a faulty installation as described above would see the insulation batts shrink away from the heat source creating a gap between the heat source and the fibres allowing the heat to dissipate as required under the fibres installation standard AS/NZ 3000 & 3999.
